Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup) is the main hub for air traffic in Scandinavia. After countless expansions and renovations over the years, it was decided that all lighting control should be integrated into a single system — where clarity and operational efficiency were among the most important parameters for the new solution.
The system chosen was Philips Dynalite, thanks to its remarkable flexibility, reliability, and scalability. The first stage covered all the masts with floodlights illuminating the aircraft parking areas on the apron. With that now completed, all interior sections will gradually be connected — all within one unified system offering full visibility down to the individual luminaire level.
Control Department’s role was to integrate the entire facility into one cohesive system and to design an interface tailored for the operations team’s daily use.
